Now the weather is cooler, Laguna loves spending laid-back weekends at Twiggy by La Cantine, the sought-after beach club and restaurant at the Park Hyatt Dubai lagoon, that takes inspiration from British supermodel and sixties icon, Twiggy. A regular haunt for Dubai’s style insiders and savvy tourists, this new oasis comes from the acclaimed team behind established culinary hotspots La Cantine du Faubourg, Ninive and Lana Lusa.
Upon entry, guests are invited to take in the beach club’s spectacular 100m sandy beach and lagoon, with a gorgeous infinity edge over the Dubai Creek. Twiggy is deliberately designed to be a world away from Dubai’s standard beach-side clubs, transporting guests to be chicly laid-pack ambiance of the French Riviera, decorated in rustic neutrals with a boho edge that is utterly covetable and Instagram friendly. Twiggy is also unique in that it is located on the ‘old’, Diera side of the Creek, with a view of Downtown Dubai, including the Dubai Frame and Burk Khalifa that has to be seen to be believed.
Once the views have been taken in and photo moments captured, the main order of the day is to relax into the sunbeds, or private cabanas for hours of pure downtime as a sun-dappled afternoon unfolds.
